Visa on Arrival Facilities to Indian nationals

“Visa on Arrival” facility extended by the Jordanian Government is purely for Tourism purpose subject to fulfilling the following criteria. Therefore, Indian nationals who are visiting Jordan for Tourism purposes and availing Tourist Visa on Arrival Scheme:

(i)  Must produce confirmed return air ticket, confirmed accommodation booking and cash amount of US $ 1000 [US dollar one thousand only];

(ii)    In the absence of hotel accommodation, must produce confirmed return air ticket and cash amount of US $ 2000 [US dollar two thousand only].

Therefore, all Indian nationals intends to visit Jordan other than “Tourism” purpose are requested to procure appropriate visas from the respective Jordanian Embassy/ies prior to their departure for Jordan.  The Jordanian side has also clarified vide its letter No. 4/5054 dt 30/6/2015 that Indian national visiting Jordan for Employment purposes will be subject to prior clearance from the Jordanian authorities.  However, Indian national with permanent residency from Gulf Cooperation Council, genuine tourist and Indian tourists visiting Jordan through approved Jordanian travel agencies are exempted from Prior Clearance Category.
