          H.E. Mr. Anil Trigunayat, Ambassador of India to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan called on H.E. Ms. Majd Shweikeh, Minister of Information & Communication Technology on 12 May, 2015.

          The meeting was a follow-up to the recently held 9th Session of the Joint India-Jordan Commission Meeting where cooperation in ICT sector was identified for the mutual benefits. Discussions focused on augmenting synergies in ICT sectors, especially in the fields of Capacity Building, rural telecommunications solutions through energy efficient, renewable and hybrid power based system and financial sectors as well.  In this context, H.E. Ambassador apprised the Hon’ble Minister about Government of India’s fully funded 30 annual slots of Indian Technical & Economic Programm [ITEC] to Jordan. In addition, H.E. Ambassador informed the Hon’ble Minister about M/s IRIS Business Service Ltd, India’s decision to provide 65 Scholarships for XBRL training courses to Jordan to mark the 65th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries.
