ADVISORY - ALL PIO CARD HOLDERS in JORDAN: LAST DATE FOR MANDATORY CONVERSION OF PIO CARDS TO OCI CARDS

Government of India has made it mandatory to convert all PIO Cards (Persons of Indian Origin) to OCI cards (Overseas Citizen of India) on or before 31 December 2017.

The process of conversion is via online application. Online application for OCI card is to be filled in at this website https://passport.gov.in/oci/welcome(select OCI registration in lieu of PIO-card).

After filling up the application form and uploading scanned copy of the current PIO card, the application form is to be submitted to the Indian Embassy in Amman for processing. The conversion process is absolute free and no fee will be charged for this service.

All PIO card holders are requested to complete the process on or before 30.6.2017.
